September 2015

Game Night!


September minutes:
~We had a surprise Birthday Party for Sharon Hunter, and played a game: Apples to Apples
~Dues this month went to help the Paris Pregnancy Care Center set up a mobile unit! http://parispregnancy.com/
~A short time of Prayer was had
~11 ladies were in attendance =)
~Pot-Luck Refreshments
~No door prize
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.
~It was decided that Hannah Hale would host the October Meeting, and that it would be a movie night (the new Cinderella).

June 2015

June minutes:
~The McKee family hosted an outdoor Co-Ed game night, with a bonfire! 
~3 games were played:
   1) Corn Hole
   2) Marshmallow Relay Race
   3) Fill the Bottle (a water toting relay race)
~We had pot luck desserts (including Marshmallows to roast- thank you Taylor's!).
~There were 14 in attendance!
~Dues this month went to Peter & Maggie Sample- as they work (evangelizing) with the international students this Summer.
~No door prize.

May 2015

We had a Cracker Barrel Brunch!


May minutes:
~We had going away party for Faith Elizabeth Hunter-  She was off to spend the summer working at Apache Creek Deaf and Youth Ranch. (find them on Facebook)
~Dues this month went to Texas flood relief.   Barnabas Connection was suggested to us as reputable and reliable, so that is who we sent our money to.
~There were 12 in attendance!
~A short time of Prayer was had
~The door prize was given by the McKees
~Cracker Barrel in Greenville provided the location.
~It was decided that the next meeting (June) will be the last before we take the Summer off, and that the McKee's would host a Co-Ed (out door) Game night, and that the toddlers were invited.

April 2015

April minutes:
~Kimberly Lyons hosted & served dinner!
~We had pot luck desserts.
~Even though it was a stormy night we had 6 in attendance!
~Dues this month went to help The Piano Teacher, Laura Maxwell-  She was very grateful!
~A short time of Prayer was had
~The door prize was given by Debbie McKee
~It was decided that because the May meeting would be Elizabeth Hunter's last for a while, we would have a going away Brunch (Dutch Treat) at Cracker Barrel, and that the toddlers were invited.

January 2015

~Tamale making party~


 Many hands make light work! Especially when it comes to making tamales! For many of us this was the first time. We each brought our pre-made filling to the meeting, and we made about 80 dozen total.

 


January minutes:
~Thank you SO much, Elizabeth Hutchins & Sarah Hale (and families!) for taking all the time to teach & help us learn something new! Make Tamales!
~Dues this month went to help the Piano Teacher, Laura Maxwell whose house burned down.
~A short time of Prayer was had.
~No door prize.
~Sarah & Hannah Hale provided the location.
~It was decided that next month, we would rent the Campbell Community Center and have a Salad Dinner, dues again going to Laura Maxwell.

December 2014


 December minutes:
~We had a Candy Making Party with 17 ladies & 3 babies in attendance, we made 3 kinds of candy:
1) "oreo" truffles
2)  molasses taffy
3)  old fashioned cooked fudge
~Dues this month went to help pay for Esther's husband Samuel Schatte's flight training hours.  Samuel wants to someday be a missionary pilot.
~A short time of Prayer was had
~The door prize was given by the Wesson Ladies!
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.
~It was decided that Elizabeth Hutchins & Sarah Hale would host the January meeting. We will be learning to make Tamales at the Hale home.

November 2014

November was a Cooky & Treat Exchange!  (My first ever!) 

The table was groaning!

November minutes:
~Our November meeting had 15 in attendance
!
~Refreshments were provided by everyone. (Extra cookies & Cheese Ball & Dip!)

~Door prize & contest prizes were given by:  
Adrienne McKee, Hannah Hale, Debbie McKee & Elizabeth H. 
~We had 3 contests:
 Prettiest Treat Packages Contest 
 Best Apron Contest
 Loveliest Broach/Pin Contest

 ~Dues went to the Morrow Family~ they adopted a little girl!
~A short prayer time was had. 
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.

We voted by placing a plastic bead in the dish of the person that we wanted to vote for. 
If there was a tie, we went round again between the tied ladies.  It worked well I thought.

Beverages: 2 kinds of hot tea, chocolate & plain milk


Cookies on the refreshment table were labeled with the Cookie's name & the Bakers name.

The part I don't like- conducting the business.

 Co-Ed Game Night!    Who was invited? All Men and women ages 14 and up!  

~20 people in attendance!
~We played "What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?" and we had a bonfire!
~The dues this month were pretty pictures, photos, verses & notes of encouragement for the Wesson's Aunt Gay.  Anything that would fit in a big manilla envelope- it was fat!
~Sharon Hunter gave the door prize
~The Pot-Luck Cookies were a lot of fun~
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.
~A short time of Prayer was had.

After the inside game, we asked the guys to go out and start the fire while we took care of business~


September 2014

Another movie night:  We watched "Roman Holiday" with Audrey Hepburn & Gregory Peck!


~6 ladies in attendance
~the ​dues this month were shelf stable food for the Commerce Food Bank (located at the Presbyterian Church). The Church was very appreciative, and more surprised than last time (March).  I guess that they don't normally get much "outside" help.  Makes me/us feel good.
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the refreshments & location.
 ~No door prize 
~It was decided that The October Meeting would be CO-ED.
~A short time of Prayer was had.

June 2014

 June minutes:
~We had a Pot Luck Salad Dinner with 11 in attendance,  with no two salads alike!
~Dues this month went to help Sara Pennington go on a mission trip to India
~A short time of Prayer was had
~No door prize
 ~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided a Pear Cake & location.
~The June Meeting was the last before we took the Summer off.
