December 2014


 December minutes:
~We had a Candy Making Party with 17 ladies & 3 babies in attendance, we made 3 kinds of candy:
1) "oreo" truffles
2)  molasses taffy
3)  old fashioned cooked fudge
~Dues this month went to help pay for Esther's husband Samuel Schatte's flight training hours.  Samuel wants to someday be a missionary pilot.
~A short time of Prayer was had
~The door prize was given by the Wesson Ladies!
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.
~It was decided that Elizabeth Hutchins & Sarah Hale would host the January meeting. We will be learning to make Tamales at the Hale home.

November 2014

November was a Cooky & Treat Exchange!  (My first ever!) 

The table was groaning!

November minutes:
~Our November meeting had 15 in attendance
!
~Refreshments were provided by everyone. (Extra cookies & Cheese Ball & Dip!)

~Door prize & contest prizes were given by:  
Adrienne McKee, Hannah Hale, Debbie McKee & Elizabeth H. 
~We had 3 contests:
 Prettiest Treat Packages Contest 
 Best Apron Contest
 Loveliest Broach/Pin Contest

 ~Dues went to the Morrow Family~ they adopted a little girl!
~A short prayer time was had. 
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.

We voted by placing a plastic bead in the dish of the person that we wanted to vote for. 
If there was a tie, we went round again between the tied ladies.  It worked well I thought.

Beverages: 2 kinds of hot tea, chocolate & plain milk


Cookies on the refreshment table were labeled with the Cookie's name & the Bakers name.

The part I don't like- conducting the business.

October 2014

 Co-Ed Game Night!    Who was invited? All Men and women ages 14 and up!  

~20 people in attendance!
~We played "What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up?" and we had a bonfire!
~The dues this month were pretty pictures, photos, verses & notes of encouragement for the Wesson's Aunt Gay.  Anything that would fit in a big manilla envelope- it was fat!
~Sharon Hunter gave the door prize
~The Pot-Luck Cookies were a lot of fun~
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the location.
~A short time of Prayer was had.

After the inside game, we asked the guys to go out and start the fire while we took care of business~


September 2014

Another movie night:  We watched "Roman Holiday" with Audrey Hepburn & Gregory Peck!


~6 ladies in attendance
~the ​dues this month were shelf stable food for the Commerce Food Bank (located at the Presbyterian Church). The Church was very appreciative, and more surprised than last time (March).  I guess that they don't normally get much "outside" help.  Makes me/us feel good.
~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided the refreshments & location.
 ~No door prize 
~It was decided that The October Meeting would be CO-ED.
~A short time of Prayer was had.

June 2014

 June minutes:
~We had a Pot Luck Salad Dinner with 11 in attendance,  with no two salads alike!
~Dues this month went to help Sara Pennington go on a mission trip to India
~A short time of Prayer was had
~No door prize
 ~Debbie & Adrienne McKee provided a Pear Cake & location.
~The June Meeting was the last before we took the Summer off.


  

 



May 2014


We voted that the May meeting would be a Costume Movie Party in honor of Eliza Doolittle Day (the 20th of May)

May minutes:
~The 9 ladies in attendance watched "Pygmalion" (the one that has Twiggy in it)
~Dues this month went to Esther & Faith Schatte. (They went on an extended mission trip to India) ~We had Pot-Luck "Tea Party Food".  The table was pretty, but I forgot to take photos! =(

April 2014

Our pot-luck "Egg Theme" refreshments were lots of fun~ we had a very pretty table! (this photo was taken before all the food arrived)

  
April minutes:
~Our April meeting had 13 in attendance (with 4 new faces!), and I'm happy to report that we had a great Show and Tell night and learning more about each other. (I think that we'll have to do it again sometime)

~The Hunter Ladies were the hostess.  (Thank you SO much!)
~It was decided that the May meeting would be held a week early (in consideration of the election workers next week), and that we should celebrate Eliza Doolittle Day (a day early).

~April refreshments were provided by everyone.

~Door prize given by Joy Hunter
~A short prayer time was had.

March 2014

Yes, we really did have Pot-Luck Chocolate!  =)


March minutes:
~Our March meeting had 15 in attendance, we had a great time playing party games & socializing, and I'm happy to report that we were able to deliver 95 lb of food to the Commerce Food Pantry (located at the Presbyterian Church)! The Chur
ch was very appreciative, and happy to know about the 10:24 Society. =)
~Last but not least, our pot-luck Chocolate refreshments were lots of fun~ the table was groaning, and at least some of us found it impossible to try everything! 

~It was decided that the April meeting should be Show and Tell night. 
~March refreshments were provided by everyone

February 2014

 We baked mini Banana Breads for those who could use a little encouragement!  =)


 February minutes:
~Our February meeting had 3 in attendance, and we were able to bake 8 loaves of Banana Bread, which were delivered in the days after the meeting, to very appreciative people!

~It was decided that the March meeting should be a game night- but not board games...we would play Party & Group Games! =)
